Overview of TruAuc’s Returns Policy Conditions
Buyers might be responsible for the depreciation of an item if it’s returned in a different condition than it was received or if it’s not packaged securely, leading to damage during shipment. In such cases, the seller may deduct the loss from the buyer’s refund.
This applies when the depreciation is due to unnecessary handling of the item for checking its condition, properties, or functionality.
Items returned after inspection through TruAuc’s Authenticity Guarantee won’t be eligible for a refund if they’re returned in a different condition than initially received. Learn more about TruAuc’s Authenticity Guarantee.
Buyers who repeatedly violate our returns policy may face consequences as outlined in our Abusive Buyer Policy.
Guidelines for a full refund
To qualify for a full refund, the exact item purchased must be returned. Returns not meeting the following criteria may be subject to a deduction from the refund amount to cover the item’s depreciation.
Acceptable Return Standards
- Unused, unmodified items without damage or wear beyond the listed condition
- Complete with all parts and accessories
- Packaged in original materials, including boxes, UPCs, bags, or protective wrapping
- Accompanied by all originally provided materials like cords, cables, manuals, warranty cards, and bonus items
- Maintaining original tags, labels, and accompanying materials.
Specific Category Requirements:
Art & Collectibles: Include any provided certificates of authenticity, grading, or appraisal; do not remove sealed items from packaging.
Fashion: Items must not appear washed or used, have original tags, retain sanitary lining for undergarments, be unaltered and unstained.
Food & Beverages: Items must be unopened and unexpired.
Home & Garden: Vacuum-sealed items must stay intact, and products should be emptied of any fuel or liquid before returning; dismantle assembled items before returning.
Software, Movies, Music & Games: Items must be returned with their original factory seal intact and unopened.
All activities on TruAuc must adhere to this policy, the TruAuc User Agreement, and all applicable laws, while respecting third-party rights. Non-compliance may result in actions such as listing removal, warnings, activity restrictions, or account suspension.
