How to create account on TruAuc
You can watch this short video to help you with setting up.
Completing the onboarding process is crucial to set up your account with our payment provider, STRIPE. This will allow you to receive direct payments into your bank account whenever you make a sale on TruAuc.
You’ll be asked for your email and phone number during onboarding to verify your account and enable secure communication with TruAuc.
– A verification code will be sent to your phone, you must enter it.
– Provide business / Sole Trader info.
– Provide account details for your transactions
To finalise the onboarding, you will be required to upload documents for proof of ID. Once you are fully verified, you will be able to start selling. You can get more help from our short explainer video
Creating a listing
After clicking on the Create Auction Button, a window will pop up. Follow the simple 4 steps process to add your new item
When listing your Provide accurate listing titles, descriptions, and multiple photos, highlighting any flaws.
Include detailed item specifics for clarity.
State your return policy clearly; consider automating returns for convenience.
Set realistic dispatch times to avoid delays.
Require immediate payment to ensure prompt transactions.

Cooperating with the buyer
Respond to buyer concerns promptly; you have 3 business days before they can escalate the issue.
Maintain professionalism and politeness in all communication to foster a positive experience.
Offer replacements, exchanges, or partial refunds to address their concerns effectively.
Dispute fees
If a seller fails to comply with our guidelines and a buyer opens a dispute as a result, the seller may be charged a dispute fee. This policy ensures fair trading practices and encourages sellers to adhere to our standards.

That’s why we encourage buyers to rate their experience with sellers after an item has been successfully sold and delivered. Your feedback not only helps other buyers make informed decisions but also contributes to maintaining a reliable community on our platform.

Resolving unpaid items with buyers
They are required to make payment within 3-5 business days.
This timeframe is displayed on the buyer’s purchase confirmation / Notifications Should a buyer on TruAuc fail to complete payment within the standard 3-day timeframe, it’s likely the transaction remains incomplete. Sellers facing such situations have several options to consider:
1. Initiate an unpaid item case: As early as 3 days after the listing’s end, sellers can open an unpaid item case via the Resolution Center. Be sure to do so within 32 days of the listing’s end.
2. Contact the buyer: Communicate with the buyer to identify any potential obstacles hindering payment completion. A gentle reminder can sometimes help resolve the issue.
3. List the item again: If the buyer is unresponsive or refuses to pay, sellers can relist the item to make it available for purchase once more.
4. Offer the item to the next highest bidder: Sellers may choose to make a second chance offer to another interested party to continue their efforts to sell the item.
The seller must report the buyer to our resolution team
Tax compliance for sellers
Your tax-related responsibilities may include:
– Pay VAT if you are a business seller.
– Pay Income Tax if you are a business seller. If you’re required to charge VAT on your items, you must make it clear to the buyer by including it in the listing price.
Proceed to the “My Bids” section to find the item you won.
Click on the “Pay Now” button next to the item.
You will be directed to our secure payment gateway powered by Stripe, which accepts all major credit cards and PayPal for your convenience.
Select your preferred payment method and enter the required details.
Review your payment summary and click “Confirm” to finalize the transaction.
After your payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email, and our team will prompt the seller to ship the item to you.
If you have agreed with the seller to collect the item instead of having it shipped, you can communicate with them using our chat system to coordinate the pickup.
Managing Returns
Once you win a bid, you will receive a notification from our platform congratulating you on your successful bid.
Log in to your account on our auction platform.
Proceed to the “My Bids” section to find the item you won.
Click on the “Pay Now” button next to the item.
You will be directed to our secure payment gateway powered by Stripe, which accepts all major credit cards and PayPal for your convenience.
Select your preferred payment method and enter the required details.
Review your payment summary and click “Confirm” to finalize the transaction.
